Jason Wu is one of those designers who doesn’t get as much attention as he should (including from me!) and I am really excited that he is the latest designer collaborating with Target. Based on The Budget Babe’s sneak peaks, which you can see here, here, here and here, the Jason Wu for Target collection seems to have several handbags and girly dresses, two of my favorite things. I am hoping that since Wu is not as well-known, we’ll be able to avoid the whole Missoni for Target disaster and I’ll be able to pick up some great items without the chaos. The collection will be in Target stores on February 5.
How about you? Are you excited about Jason Wu?

It’s evident by looking at the mall parking lot on Christmas Eve that not everyone shops ahead of time, and if you are one of those still looking for the perfect gifts, look no further than your local TJMaxx. Whether buying for Mom, best friend or sister, you can find a gift for them all at TJMaxx.
If you’d like to spend under $20, consider some great bath products, a scarf or some treats from the gourmet food section.
If you’d like to spend under $50, think about a wallet or small clutch, something from the extensive jewelry counter, or some fun kitchen accessories.
If you’d like to spend more, I say go for a nice handbag. TJMaxx has tons of designer brands at major discounts. Purses can be quite personal, so just pick something you think looks like her. If it’s not perfect, she can always take it back and pick out one that she loves.
If none of these sound like the right pick, consider the best gift of all, a TJMaxx gift card!

P.S. I swear this is not a sponsored post. I really just love TJMaxx this much.
Boden’s fall collection is once again shaping up to be lovely and although I am resisting the fact that summer will be ending soon, several of Boden’s handbags are helping me adjust to the idea of autumn. The collection includes a nice smattering of olive green, a color that always makes me think of a chill in the air. The Hand Held Tweed Tote ($98), Favourite Satchel ($148) and Leopard Tote ($224) are all available from Boden.

Has anyone else been checking out Amazon’s newest venture, MyHabit.com? Similar to Gilt Groupe, Rue La La and The Outnet, MyHabit has daily, designer sales with limited quantities available for a limited time. MyHabit has been running for just over a week and has already featured designers like Rebecca Minkoff, Loeffler Randall and CCSkye with D&G, French Sole and Nicole Miller scheduled for the upcoming week.
This seems like a no-brainer since Amazon has access to so many products and has built a very trusting and loyal client base. Because I’ve had great experiences with Amazon over the years, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy something from MyHabit.
What about you? Are you sick of the dozen or so emails a day about sample sales or will you give MyHabit.com a shot?
Need some springtime bag inspiration? Luxury site Net-A-Porter has released its annual spring bag guide that is chock full of stylish choices for warmer weather. I’m digging the Milly Color-Block Shoulder Bag and the See by Chloe Poya Pouch. Any faves on your list?
While we are all trying to live happy lives, I think most of us are also looking for ways to do good. An easy way to do some good is to visit The Hunger Site. This site, along with its partners, seek to end world hunger, promote breast cancer awareness, provide health care for children, save rainforests, promote literacy and end animal cruelty. Each site has sponsors that donate to the cause whenever someone clicks on the site.
In addition to money from sponsors, The Hunger Site also sells products whose proceeds go towards their missions. They have some unusual offerings made by artists from over 80 countries and when you buy something, your purchase not only benefits The Hunger Site, but also helps to sustain these artisans and the groups that they support. So, please check it out. Just by clicking and shopping you can do a lot of good.
They sell jewelry, clothes and all kinds of other things, but here are my favorite in bags. Click on any picture to buy.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I had a really relaxing and wonderful holiday. Sometimes my lack of planning ends up with me giving gifts that I didn’t take much time to think through-sad but true. This year, I planned ahead and was able to get some presents that I thought people would really love.
Two of these people were my mom and sister. I hit my local TJ Maxx and bought them each a purse that I thought would suit them well. My mom has never been one to spend much on her handbags and I thought this would be the perfect time to get her a nice leather bag. I picked out the Tignanello My Military Shopper in black and brown. She loved it and I had to assure her that I had not spent the price on the retail tag. My sister lives in a big city and goes out a lot so I got her a sleek leather wristlet from Latico. She loved it as well and despite my continued assurance they could exchange them if they wanted, both kept their presents.

We went shopping the day after Christmas and my sister found another amazing purse at TJ Maxx from B. Makowsky. I really love TJ Maxx, but you guys already know that. Anybody else get a great purse for Christmas?
